Abstract

This article analyzes the issue of developing mathematical literacy among primary school students based on the requirements of international assessment programs, particularly PISA and TIMSS. The content and essence of the concept of mathematical literacy are explained, and the pedagogical significance of its formation in the process of primary education is revealed.
