Abstract

The development of digital technologies has significantly transformed the fashion and garment industry. The application of computer-aided design, three-dimensional garment simulation, digital pattern-making, automated cutting systems, and other innovative technologies provides new opportunities for improving the design and production of sportswear. Sportswear requires a combination of functionality, comfort, ergonomic fit, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Therefore, the use of digital technologies is particularly important for optimizing garment construction and reducing production time and material consumption. This article examines the main areas of application of digital technologies in sportswear design and manufacturing. Particular attention is paid to computer-aided design (CAD), 3D virtual prototyping, digital pattern development, automated production, and quality control. The prospects for further digitalization of sportswear production are also discussed.
