Abstract

Phonographic stylistic devices represent an important area of linguistic and literary research because they provide additional expressive possibilities in both oral and written communication. This article examines the theoretical principles underlying phonographic stylistic devices and their relationship with phonetics, phonology, graphics, punctuation, stylistics, and pragmatics. Particular attention is given to the ways in which sound patterns, intonation, stress, repetition, punctuation, and typographical features contribute to the expressive and emotional organization of discourse. The study also considers the role of graphical stylistics in transferring certain characteristics of spoken language into written texts. The theoretical views of Uzbek and foreign scholars are reviewed to demonstrate the development of research in this field. The analysis shows that phonographic devices function not only as decorative elements but also as meaningful linguistic resources capable of influencing interpretation, emphasizing particular ideas, and revealing an author's individual stylistic choices.
