APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF MODERN CLOTHING

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly transformed the modern garment industry, creating new opportunities for improving the design, production, and management of clothing products. Computer-aided design (CAD), three-dimensional garment visualization, digital pattern making, virtual fitting, automated cutting, and computerized production management are increasingly used at different stages of the clothing manufacturing process. These technologies contribute to improving product quality, reducing development time, optimizing material consumption, and increasing the competitiveness of garment enterprises. This article examines the main applications of digital technologies in the design and production of modern clothing. Particular attention is given to CAD systems, 3D modeling, virtual prototyping, digital pattern construction, automated manufacturing, and sustainable production. The advantages and limitations of digitalization are analyzed, and the prospects for further integration of artificial intelligence, body scanning, virtual reality, and smart textile technologies are discussed. The study demonstrates that the digital transformation of garment production can contribute to the creation of more efficient, flexible, sustainable, and consumer-oriented clothing manufacturing systems.
